I finally had enough time to do this post. It's been a busy last couple of days, with the holidays and recent development in my personal life, it added a lot to my plate. 2013 is gone and it packed quiet a punch to me and my family, but we are slowly working through it.
As far as blogging goes, I had a wonderful year. In November my blog turned 1 year old! With so much going on with my personal life I had completely missed it, unfortunately. I hope to eventually do a mini giveaway, but it might be a bit while I sort some stuff.
So how did I do? Well I read 150 out of 150 books that I hope to this year! yay I completed the challenge.
Well, at least the goodreads challenge. I have learned that I am terrible at keeping up with other challenges and have entered several and failed to keep track of all of them over the first 2-3 months. So I will not be doing that this year.
I am also trying to get my netgalley reading under control, clearing out the books I have before daring to request more. Of course it's hard, but hey... I am working on it.
Below is a small recap of how the books had fared this year, I had quiet a bit of 5 stars, but only a hand full of them were 5 instead of 4.5. I had a bunch of books that where close to 4 stars and a lot of 3 stars. I realized each time I pick up a new book I probably become more critical then I use to when I first started blogging.
Outside of that, I hope to have another amazing year. It's going to be hard for me in the next two months but I will try and get as much blogging done as I can.
My goal was this year is 150 books, even thought it might fall short. My personal life might become even more busy this years.
I am also thankful for all the wonderful friends I have made here this year, Ali, Andrea, Heidi, Maja, Kim, Christy and anyone else I may have missed you know who you ladies are!

Congrats on your blog turning one and on reaching your reading goals, that is just awesome Lily!!
ReplyDeleteHere is to another year filled with lots of fantastic reads! *hugs*
Congrats on completing your challenge! 150 books is really something to be proud of. And I myself am trying very hard to download less from Netgalley and Edelweiss. Unfortunately, I'm rarely successful.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope 2014 is even better, reading-wise. :)
There's so much to look forward to.
Yay, you did reach your goal! Haha - yeah, I had to stop doing other challenges because I'm TERRIBLE at keeping track of that stuff. Hope next year is a great reading/blogging year. And I hope your personal issues get better.
ReplyDeleteYay! Congratulations on making your goal. The GoodReads challenge is the only one I shoot for, everything else just falls by the wayside.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have an excellent 2014!
Wahoo! Woot! you did fantastic Lily and it is always a blast making your goal ;)
