In
the Highlands of Scotland, honor and loyalty are worth more than life
itself. But when a haunted woman meets a wronged warrior, love will
prove more powerful than anything they have ever known.
Isabail
Grant has had to be strong all her life. Over the years, she has lost
everyone close to her, and now she’s seeking justice for her
brother’s murder. But en route to Edinburgh to petition the king,
she is kidnapped by a fierce warrior—and is shocked to find herself
irresistibly drawn to her captor.
Aiden
MacCurran is an outlaw. The
laird of a small clan, he’s been falsely accused of killing the
king’s courier and stealing the Crown’s property—and the key to
clearing his name and redeeming his clan lies in Isabail’s
memories. But Aiden and Isabail must first weather deceit and
treachery before they can find the truth and claim the love that’s
growing between them....

Author Rowan Keats:
Rowan
Keats pens historical adventures involving hot Highland heroes and
the women they claim. Both TAMING A WILD SCOT and WHEN A LAIRD TAKES
A LADY have earned 4 1/2 star reviews from RT Book Reviews, which
labelled her "a rising star of medieval romance."
When
not writing, Rowan can frequently be found in a dark movie theater
indulging in a large bag of popcorn, or watching the sunrise with a
mug of steaming coffee wrapped in her hands. She lives in Central
Canada with a goofy black lab, a very talkative cat, and a daughter
whose own creative talents awe and inspire her every day.

I was going to say that I have never read a historical with highlanders in it but then I realized that wasn't true because I have read (and loved) the Outlander series. Gosh, I should read more of them, I devoured that series one summer.
ReplyDeleteI love a highlander..this sounds yummy! Thanks for sharing it Lily :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of this before or read a highlander romance in a terribly long time, so thanks for bringing this to my attention, Lily!
ReplyDeleteI really liked the first book in this series. I can't wait to read this one!
ReplyDeleteI love highlanders and historical romances! And this one is set even earlier than most of those I've read before, so I've added it to my shelf on Goodreads. I don't use the 'want to read' shelf, though, as I have other self-made shelves I use instead - the books I want to read but haven't bought yet are on my 'might read one day' shelf.
ReplyDeleteI have a question for Rowan : did you have to do a lot of research to get the historical aspects right? And were you able to actual go to Scotland for the setting?

ReplyDeleteI LOVE Historical Romances and if you put highlanders in them, how can you resist them, right? ;) Plus, the setting here sounds fascinating, so I'd better go check this book out!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Lily!
I love the Scottish Highlands as a setting for historical romance. I think one of my favorites is Ransom by Julie Garwood. *sigh* Brodick... Anyway, I'm always up for meeting a new favorite Scottish Laird!
ReplyDeleteOh Scottish Highlands! Now that's something I should go for as we're currently reading some stories set in Scotland! :) Thanks for sharing, Lily :)
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to read a Scottish Historical Romance! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read a Scottish Historical romance in a while and this sounds amazing! Can't wait to get my hands on it
ReplyDeleteWho can resist a Highlander love story? Not me! Love the cover.
ReplyDeleteOooo, it's been ages since I've read a Highlander romance! Another great-sounding read!
ReplyDelete"A haunted woman and a wronged warrior." Wow, that makes for quite a romantic story of the Highlands, Rowan. I think the heroine is also a strong woman, and I like strong heroines. Isabail and Aiden are going to be a winning couple...I just know it! Thanks for the post. jdh2690@gmail.com
